Researcher

Xavier Úcar is a full professor of Social Pedagogy at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). His specializations are in Social Pedagogy, Design and Evaluation of Community Development Programs and Socio-cultural Animation Programs. He is the president of the “Iberoamerican Society of Social Pedagogy” (SIPS) (2012). He served as the co-director of the collection of books on “Community Action and Social-Educative Action” at the publisher Graó (2006-2013). He was the president of “Coordinator for Socio-cultural Animation of Catalonia” (CASC_CAT) (2009-2014). He has written more than 100 publications including books, book chapters and journal articles.
