Researcher

Pilar Pineda-Herrero holds a PhD and tenure as an associated professor of Economics of Education and Training in Organizations at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain (since 2000). She is an expert in the evaluation of training, she is the director of the Research Group on Training Efficacy (EFI), and she serves as a member of the Research Group on Educational Policy and Training (GIPE). Her research areas are life-long learning policies, evaluation of training results, efficacy of VET, and education and work.

Pilar has directed research on the evaluation of training policies, evaluation of training results and learning transfer. She has participated in research on women and training, on participatory evaluation of education, and on higher education. She is the author of five books and more than 40 papers on education and work.
