Researcher

Anna Planas is a lecturer in the Department of Pedagogy at the University of Girona. She has an undergraduate degree in Pedagogy (1994) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and a PhD in Education (2009) from the University of Girona. She has a background in community development and worked in the volunteering sector and in youth and cultural services in local government before joining the University. She is a member of the research team in Policy, Programs and Educational and Sociocultural Services of the University of Girona’s Institute of Educational Research. Her research interests include community development, assessment, participatory evaluation, and youth and cultural policies and programs. She has co-authored a number of papers in these fields. Since September 1, 2014, she has lead the coordination of the Social Education Degree at the University of Girona.
